Strength is tethered to Truth and Beauty. Strength appears and grows through resistance, and Beauty and Truth provide a consistent resistance throughout life.

I pursue unspoken and unseen glimpses of Truth, Beauty and Strength, three purposefully interwoven strands evident throughout the universe. As an abstract expressionist, I traverse these themes on paper and canvas, using rich colors, organic textures and layers with natural shapes and an overall energy in gesture and momentum.

When we encounter Truth, we feel its presence immediately on a soul level. We know it deep in our core—and we cannot un-know Truth once we’ve met with it. Beauty holds this same quality. While it can be subjective — or perhaps, we add subjectivity to our experiences — every one of us have experienced unfiltered Truth through Beauty in an objective moment of clarity, in which we undeniably and unanimously utter “That’s beautiful.” Like Truth, we can not un-know Beauty once it captures us.

Strength is tethered to Truth and Beauty. Strength appears and grows through resistance, and Beauty and Truth provide a consistent resistance throughout life. In a world encumbered by post-modernism, dualism, pluralism, Beauty and Truth stand firm and declare themselves worthy, daring to oppose the currents of present day position and demanding rightful acknowledgement. In turn Strength increases and cultivates deeper, broader landscapes for Beauty and Truth to manifest.

Consider how coal transforms into a diamond as the resistance purifies, clarifies and intensifies. The final product is replete with Beauty, Truth and Strength. My artwork, my DNA as an artist and my reverence for these forces aims to reflect a grateful glimmer of their inevitable intersections.
