Watercolor Nuggets Video Series // No.6 - Gradient Washes / by Beth Glover

Hello! I’m excited to guide you through another foundational element of painting with watercolors - creating gradient washes. In this video, I’ll show you how to do a tonal gradient (going from a dark-to-light) and how to do a color gradient (going from one color to another.) It’s easy and actually quite fun to create these washes. This is also a great tool for underpainting with watercolors and for creating texture and depth in your paintings! Enjoy this tutorial and consider joining my Creative Catharsis class this Sunday at 2:30pm ET.
